Dear boys,
Been having a lot of fun with you lately. For exciting events we had the 2nd Bonfire in Newbury but didn't stay long enough to see the bonfires because the field was a sucking mud pit. Your dad went to a party at Seaview later and we went back to our house and played a game.
Yesterday, we did a bunch of errands together since I didn't have Mo to take care of. We went to the bank, the mayor's office, the post office, home for lunch, out for hot chocolate, a stop at Graf Rink after a driveby at Bartlet Mall to see kids skating. I'm going to sign you guys up for Monday lessons! We also went to Action Cove in W. Newbury.
Oh, and Sat night you guys stayed over. We went to a ham and bean supper at the Masonic Temple on Green St. It was all decorated for Valentine's Day and we had quite a feast there! Dylan wanted to know why there were so many old ladies there and then said he did not want to get old. Then Noah said he thought it was like Thanksgiving. Of course your dad thought it was great and can't wait for the next month's ham and bean supper!! He said it was a good thing he didn't know about the suppers when he was dating your mom or they'd been going there on their dates (and then you boys would not exist because your mom would never have married him)
Sunday night, Uncle Joe and I babysat because your dad went to "work" which meant to a card game in Haverhill at the Knights of Columbis, a Super Bowl Event. We watched Tintin and had popcorn, plus you took a tubby. The other day, Dylan was all modest when he was naked, getting dressed and didn't want me to see him. But taking a tubby he had no problem being naked as a jay bird. You both like to lay down in the water on your backs, especially Dylan.
I wish I could remember some of the funny things you guys say and write them down. When you are not funny of course you are challenging our authority, sneaking around, getting in trouble here and there but nothing major. Noah was missing downstairs for about twenty minutes, then came back up with my big insulated boots on. He was wearing my down boot slippers earlier. You both have an obsession with footwear. Noah was also brushing his teeth with his own battery powered toothbrush when I heard the sound of my brush coming from the bathroom. When I yelled down to the bathroom, there was dead silence, and denial about touching it with the guilty look on his face. So I put him in time out for lying to me. He did another time out for questioning Uncle Joe's authority, refusing to apologize to Dylan because he didn't hardly hit him, he just went "like this." Never a dull moment!!
You both still get so excited about the 25 stickers on the chart and picking out presents! We stopped by Eureka and looked around there after we had hot chocolate at Chocorua. Dylan was pissed they had no marshmallows. He was almost rude to the lady when she was trying to make conversation, refusing to answer her questions with more than one word responses until I called him on it. He snapped out of it and let go of the marshmallow disappointment.
Your mom is getting married March 10. Your dad will have to get his own health insurance policy. It is a little weird for him but I think he expects something might go wrong before the wedding. It seems strange that they planned it for Feb 2014 and then all of a sudden decided to do it next month.
