Hola! Sun PM
Had a great day with you both yesterday and your dad wanted to make sure I wrote abut it in this journal. (he's such a ham) We went over on Saturday afternoon right after poor Ruby had to go to the vet and get a laceration on her leg stapled. I HATED leaving her home with the muzzle on (to prevent her from ripping out the staples) But we both wanted to see you so much. Also your dad called here and let Dylan cry on the phone, then told us that that was baby talk for "Where is my Auntie Kimmy" How could I resist that and stay home to care for my sick dog?!!? Believe me, it wasn't easy but Uncle Joe convinced me she'd be fine with the muzzle. Well, she wasn't and she threw up right into it. The holes were big enough that it got through but I'm having nightmares just thinking about going to work the next few days and leaving her. Anyway, back to the two of you, speaking of innocent, fragile dependent creatures! I got a lesson in diaper changing and what a show! Dylan pooped out about 5-8 feet of ca-ca paste. It was like a never ending Popeil's Pasta Maker- every time your dad rubbed your butt cheek with vaseline, more would squeeze out. We were in the room for 20 minutes or so, wipe and squirt, wipe and squirt, while Uncle Joe and George (Kenny's former roomate) maintained the status quo with Noah in the other room. Your mom took advantage of us all being there and went out to pick up Nick and go to Target. Both of you had your cranky pants on though and it was tough getting some 45's in- a card game your dad was determined to play since he had enough people in the house to do so-
Uncle Joe didn't want to play so he held Noah and fed him after a crash course. I fed Dylan earlier- I loved it! The burping process didn't go too smoothly though. I couldn't get anything out of you and if I wacked your back any harder, I was afraid you'd have shaken baby syndrome. Not really, but it's so hard to know how hard to pat you, how to hold you right to feed you, then burp you. Your heads are still not real solid sitting up on strong necks yet so you have to be careful (we do, not you)
It was such an enjoyable evening spending time with you both, and your mom too when she was there ealier. We were hearing all about your dad's socializing stories at his 20th class reunion the night before. It was great to see George again, too. Hadn't seen him since Bailey and Roscoe were still alive. (our two cocker spaniels)
Your first Thanksgiving was this week, too. at Grandpa K and Grandma Chris's. You were both very good and got lots of cuddling by all of us. We had a great time playing "imaginiff" with Nick, Dad, Grandpa, Uncle Joe, Mom, me and Chris.

Writing from Grandma K's bench
Hola, cacahuetes! (That's Spanish for peanuts) I'm sitting on your grandmother's memorial bench at Moseley Pines enjoying some time out with the dogs. Today's the last day the park is opened for the season to cars at least. Ruby, Jack and I went for a walk first at Woodsom Farm after I had breakfast at the Whistling Kettle in Amesbury, a place where me and Uncle Joe used to go with your grandma.
Yesteray I went over to see you with Auntie Susan, my best friend from my Lawrence days who is more like a sister to me. She loves babies and was dying to meet you and hold you. She held Noah for awhile and I held Dylan. Ruby and Jack waited in the car. You probably won't meet them unitl the first time you come over here (our house) unless you mom or dad gives me the green light to let them in your house but they didn't take the hint when I said "I gotta go because I got the dogs out in the car and want to get them out for a walk before dark.' Oh well. Sebastian, your cat, is like an Egyptian goddess. She nuzzled right up to me and Dylan, stretched her paw across Dylan's back. It was pretty cute and your mom took a picture! I hope I get a copy. Your dad was working so I didn't see him until he came home right before I left. He wanted the details on how he behaved the other night (at Grandpa K's 70th) I'm sure your mom will tell you more than once some day- let's se, we'll summarize with too much rum, vomit and an unhappy wife with two infant twins and another sick son at home. Grandpa K's party was not quite what I expected. It was mostly people from their church and a few of us heathens from both sides of the family, yet a chance to talk to Pam, Anita, Chris's mom and sister and Ken and Don.
Well, I'm freezing and ready to go back to Uncle Joe who is busy fixing our dishwasher and and cleaning out a mouse nest he found. We just met a lady with two cute shelties! Also a guy with two other dogs walked by and Ruby was acting all protective of us kings on the hill here!
Until next time- can't wait to see you again.
love, Auntie Kim
