Christmas 2012 and Wedding Plans

December 27, 2012

Dear Noah and Dylan,

I see I am writing in their journal to you both less frequently!  I have been writing occasionally in a separate journal, one that travels in your backpacks with your blanks that I write to your mom and dad, from your perspective.  I ask you what we did today and I write in your words.
So...we had a very nice Christmas 2012 at your dad's house!  He was SO excited to have you both there for Christmas Eve, sleeping over to the morning to open presents under the tree together!  Grandpa K slept over, too, as did Daddys new roommate, Clay Kenney who just moved in the day before. George came over for dinner also sos it was five men, two boys, one male dog, one male cat and Auntie Kim.  I was outnumbered!!  Your dad got lobsters and steamers.  Also scallops.  I made salmon also (for you guys) but the only way we could get you to eat it with your macaroni was to bribe with opening the gifts from me and Uncle Joe.  We gave you a Playmobil Soccer Game which kept you cute engaged!  Dylan turned it into a killing field but you both played great together.
Meanwhile, your dad and Grandpa K were trying to set up a crappy $20 train set that broke and they had to throw you.  You guys went to bed and were so excited but you knew you had to go to sleep for Santa to come.  You were also quite concerned about the rest of us leaving.  You knew we had to go and take care of the dogs but you didn't want Clay or George or Grandpa K to leave!  You did wake up crying around midnight but went right back to sleep.  Your dad made the house look so pretty..cleaned it up real nice!  Uncle George and I played 45's against Grandpa dn your dad-we won. Then Clay took over for me and Uncle Joe and I left.  We stopped at Auntie Susan's for a party she has every Xmas Eve, in honor of her mom's birthday.
Since I last wrote, your mom and Adam are getting married, apparently in February 2014.  Adam is a very nice guy.  He is quite young though, 24? And seems unlikely to settle into a family routine so early so we we'll see how it pans out for your mom.  Nick likes him as do you both.  Nick got a parrot for Christmas (I saw on Facebook)  Thery are a lot of work and in some ways moreso than a dog, requiring LOTS of attention. Auntie Veronica was not happy when I told her-not the best gift for a teenage boy but I bet Adam will pay a lot of attention since he is home, not working I think.
Well boys, her' hoping for some wonderful ties together in 2014!  Love you both, even though I got yet another nasty cold from you!  Sniff sniff!!  :-/

Love forever,
Auntie Kim
