Dearest Noah and Dylan,
You are thirteen months old now. Your birthday was a lot of fun and you got lots of educational type toys and little cars to ride to help you teach yourself to walk since you sit and push off with your legs. We had the party out by your pool and took lots of video. Uncle Joe gave a set on DVD to your dad plus both he and Uncle Don took much footage. You are still the celebrities in the family! Holly and Ryan couldn’t go but everyone else was there-still no sign of your maternal grandmother. She’s apparently working as a receptionist in the surgical area at AJH. We hear about her through Uncle John, your grandfather and Aunt Kim (L.)
The biggest news of late is that Dylan started walking last week! The week before he was balancing on two feet for short moments but now he is moving those chunky thighs across the room. It is so darned cute! And Noah is walking with hand held but seems to prefer crawling since he can get to pint B much faster. He is a FAST crawler!! That was a nice surprise Sunday when I went over, seeing the yard fenced in! I can bring the dogs over now, at least Ruby once in a while.
Sunday, the plan was to go on your first outing to Canobie Lake. IT rained most of the day and around 3:00 pm it stopped so Nick called his buddy Tyler and we all headed over to Salem, NH after a brief tire inflation job, averting a potential abortion of Operation Canobie. We had the place to ourselves practically since it was the last day of the season and very rainy until the late afternoon. Nick and Tyler ran off for the Zero Gravity thing and we found the Merry-go-round. What a wonderful memory that was-riding around on the circus wagon together. Dad held Dylan. I held Noah who cuddled up against me and watched the lights above with the big eyes. Nobody made a peep! We rode on it a second time before we left and made fun of the goofy guy riding a horse and slapping it’s rear end, dancing to the music.
We also rode the train around the park which was fun, too. There were no other rides we could go on because you had to be at least three years old at Kiddieland! So we went to go eat at one place and realized your sippy cups were missing in action. I ran back to the Mexican food stand but there was nothing and then your dad remembered he left them on the railing at the train stop, also a bag of Vanilla Wafers. We finally left at around 6PM. We would have stayed later but I was already late for dinner at Uncle Don’s (6PM date) Uncle Joe met me over there and Kim seemed a little mad, or at least very hungry and didn’t waste a second heating up my Mexican black bean and chicken soup. They showed us pics and movies of their trip to Europe. Looks like a fun trip!
Your mom and dad have also been looking at houses in Amesbury. They put an offer on one in Newburyport only about a mile and half form here but were overbid. Sunday I’m going with you guys to look at a house on Mill Street in Amesbury right on the river. I think it’s’ a great location/investment even though the land in front is dumpy looking-it’s high enough above the bank and the river is wide there (Powow)
That piece is owned by the Electric Company.. You dad is not in a rush to move right now but he’s keeping his eyes open. Your mom really wanted a beautiful Victorian in Amesbury but the taxes were ridiculous and too many potential problems. Daddy said no. I was impresses when I found your mom and dad have only about 110,oo0 left to pay for their house! That’s about what me and Joe have and we’ve been in it five more years and payed a lot less. Your dad put any money he could toward the principle like money from Uncle Bill when he was paying $500/month.

Vacation at Lake Winnepausakee
Hi Kids!
Your mom and dad are busy preparing for your first birthday bash and looking for houses at the same time. I’ve been keeping my eye out too- so many listings on the internet but once I get back to work-I’ll be a busy bee and will just have to hope your mom finds something good and maybe I can watch you guys after school while they look.
Yesterday, I went over for the afternoon and took you both for a walk up past the farm to the golf course and got you guys an ice-cream there. You both made faces because it was so cold at first- Dylan seemed to like it the most- vanilla. Noah was getting a little cranky. Then we stopped at the farm stand and I bought some corn, tomatoes and a big juicy peach. Since you will be reading this in many years to come, I’m going to risk Uncle Joe making fun of me and tell you how much the peach was- 99cents. For $9.00 I got a small bag of cherry and pear tomatoes, 6 ears of corn, and the peach.. Food and gas are getting expensive, that’s for sure.
I just realized I never wrote about the Lake Winnepausakee vacation! I put a video clip of Noah falling asleep on my lap to the radio (on youtube)
Don and Kim rented the house at Far Echo in Moultonborough $1500 /week-great place with a big bedroom downstairs, two bedrooms, living room, screened in porch on first floor and a huge loft with bunk beds, a single and a couch! I rode up on Weds with your mom and dad, sitting between the two of you. None of us got carsick! We picked up Nick at his grandmother’s on the way. His dad was there, too. It was a little hectic figuring out where to sleep since your mom really needed to bring you into a room where she could shut the door. She slept in the basement the first night with you guys and it was awful so they took over my room. I went to the loft and had a pajama party with Nick. The 3rd night I had that room back since you guys only stayed two nights. I rode back with Don and Kim. Holly, Ryan and Holy’s sister Toni were there Friday night into sat. Toni is about Nick’s age. Nick told me he felt a little shy around her since he didn’t know her too well. We took lots of pictures of you guys in the lake with Grandpa Kudym and Grandma Chris. They each got to ride Uncle Don’s Jet Ski! Your dad rode it and got lost in the lake! He didn’t’ pay attention to where he was when he took off like a little kid in a candy store. We were all worried until some guy called Uncle Don’s cell phone and said he had Ken there who didn’t know where he was! Good thing he remember Uncle Don’s cellphone number!
Right now I’m sitting at Lake Gardner down at Battis Farm. I have Ruby, Jack, Cuddles and Freddie. It’s about 75 degrees, dry and sunny. Most of the summer has been rainy but we almost need rain again. It’s actually been awhile!

Babysitting Unsupervised while Househunting
Dear boys,
You are coming over today at noon so your parents can look at a house in w. Newbury they might buy! There’s’ another cool one in Newburyport I hope they’ll look at. This will be my second time watching you guys here and unsupervised!! Do you think they are preparing me for extended visits? Hmmmm! We better put a bed up in the loft too so you can each have your own room when you visit.
