Dear Noah and Dylan,
Today your grandmother would have been 70! Yesterday, we had a family dinner here to honor and remember her. Veronica and Soracha came and finally got to meet you. Uncle Don and Kim came and Holly and Ryan. Ryan is 2 ½ now. He was born a month before your grandmother died (so that’s how I can remember his age!) (He got the biggest kick out of you babies- he was way more fascinated with you guys than with the dominos I bought for him in St. John. I am hoping we will have many family events when you three will be able to play together since before long. 2.5 years will not matter much!
Your dad came early yesterday before the other guests so we had fun with you before Noah finally needed a nap. I was the lucky one that got to bring you into my bedroom and lay you down while you SCREAMED bloody murder. Dad said if you cried for more than 5 minutes, then you probably were not ready for a nap. Well, you screamed for two or three long minutes. Uncle Joe came in to see if I was stabbing you with a pen or what. You weren’t just screaming. You were stomping the bed with both legs, absolutely pissed off. Finally, I got off the bed and sat on the floor so you couldn’t see me. You continued for one and ½ minutes, then you rolled over, feeling the texture of the chenille blanket I bought at the store near your house and you were gone! Uncle Don gave Dylan his first frump and he was giggling so loudly. It was funny and of course we videotaped it. We will have so much footage of you guys that we’ll have to load onto CDs if you even know what those are by the time you read this with technology changing the way it does!
So today, your dad is coming up with you both, Nick and one of his friends. It’s a beautiful day, very breezy, but the picture perfect day on the water.
I love you both and can’t believe how much more enriched my life is with you in it for the past nine months!
Love always,
Auntie Kim
PS we are going to take you for a walk down the street today. I want to take pictures of some of the traditional older cottages.

First Visit to Ocean
N. Boulevard, Plum Island
Dear boys,
We skipped out on helping your dad today but we got to see you yesterday and take you to the beach for the first time! I held Noah and brought him down with the whole Txxxxxxxx clan, then Uncle Joe and your dad joined us with Dylan. We were right in the river across from where we scattered Grandma K's ashes. I let Noah sit in the sand and feel it with his hands, making sure none went into his mouth. We had a nice day overall and I was glad you both finally got to meet my other half of the family.
The day before, I played hooky from work so I could spend a day helping your mom for a change instead of your dad. She taught me how to help you both sit up by holding your hips. You are still not crawling but you both have cut a couple of teeth.
Your dad said he took you to a park in Haverhill with his friend, Tina and her little girl today. We were going to visit but decided we should get some things done around here like grocery shopping and just relax and enjoy this house on the ocean! You are both coming Saturday for dinner to have our annual birthday remembrance event (Grandma would have been 70 this year)
Last week, we took great videos of you, especially Noah in the chair swing that hangs from the door. Noah was dancing to the music (rap) the Hip Hop song the toy bunny plays. It was hysterical!! I just have to get Uncle Joe to transfer that them to disk so you'll be able to see someday! That was Mother's Day! Also, you each weigh close to twenty pounds!

Dylan's first tooth and Cuddles arrives
Hello little munchkins!
I wont' see you today or next Saturday since Uncle Joe and I are flying to St. John for the week! We were there once before in 1999 and I loved it so much I said I wanted to go back every year! But, life happens! We've been lots of places like the Dominican Republic, Maui, Puerto Rico instead though. That year, 1999 your grandmother (dad's mom) was sick with lung cancer for the second time. I was very worried about her while I was away. So the next year, we all went on a cruise together with Grandma and had such a great time. Your Uncle Don was married to Leigh then.
Anyway, before I go off into memory lane, Uncle Joe went to see you yesterday since he had to drive up that way to pick up his prescription mask. He got to walk with you, your mom to bus stop to wait for Nick. Uncle Joe said you both lit up when you saw him and he was so happy to see you! I was really glad to hear that. Especially since in a couple of years you might be throwing rocks at the bus, ha ha!
I also forgot to tell you that Dylan broke through with his first tooth I think the day after Easter1 Your dad called to tell me that. You are both still immobile but boy, you move those arms and legs a lot. You both love the chair that hangs in the doorway. Last Saturday, we took you out in the backyard and put you on the swings. Noah was cranky (for a change- ha!) and Dylan was as happy as a clam! It was really warm and sunny and then clouded over all of a sudden.
We'll buy you something in St. John or St. Thomas-don't know what yet though.
love you to pieces,
Auntie Kim
PS you have a new cousin! This week we adopted an 8 1/2 year old cocker spaniel named Cuddles. I had to leave her with the Armstrong family for the week but she is in good hands! You'll both LOVE her. :-)
