Dear Noah and Dylan,
You eft with your daddy after an unexpected overnight stay here which is always a bonus for us because we love you so much!! But I'm worried about what's going on with your Momma. She was supposed to pick you up here yesterday afternoon and she called your dad around 2 and said she was too upset, wouldn't say why, just shtat she wanted him to pick you guys up and keep you overnight. So all I can think is that it is one of two things. Either she is very ill which I hope is not the case, or Adam is moving out. That may be why she didn't want you home in case he was moving his stuff out. A bit traumatic for tow little ids. Anyway, your dad was bringing you over to Auntie Deanna's house today because that was the original plan since the school is closed for the holiday. Your dad would have planned to have you but since it's Nick's birthday, he left that day alone in the divorce agreement. Your mom has to work today probably even though it his a holiday so your daddy is probably hanging out over Deanna's trying to get some scoop on what's going on here.
But, these are things that happen in life, and we somehow move on. Life is full of difficult and very wonderful times. One of the wonderful times was our day yesterday! We went to Mosely with Ruby and Daisy and had a blast walking the trails, except I fell on the slippery rocks down by the river! Good thing I didn't ge hurt!! We took some great pictures with the fog in the river and the fall leaves by the spring pond. Noah went over the bridge over the stream by himself for the first time! He's getting very brave!! And then we hung out near the Rt. 95 bridge and you were talking to rocks, holding them like puppets, just like Auntie Kim and Uncle Joe did with some potatoes. We climbed on big limbs broken off from trees, pretended they were horses, watched a bug on the rocks and visited the spring. When we got to the playground, the prisoners were working there, raking leaves and driving a tractor around. The guy who works at Mosely was there, too. He's the guy that knocked over that telephone pole we saw one morning on Water Street! I didn't want to tell you because I was afraid you would ask him why he knocked it over, especially since Dylan asked the ranger on the Hellcat Swamp Trail if he was a farty man.
So when we got home, Auntie Susan was on the deck waiting for us! She had tow pumpkin bags filled with crayons, spongebob toothbrushes and watermelon flavored toothpaste! We did puzzles with her upstairs and drew pictures and then we went to Papa Gino's! Was it fun!! We had fun just driving over there because we went up a scary hill off of Low St to show Auntie Susan and then we went down it! Auntie Susan almost pooped her pants! And we saw a Jason statue outside of a house and Auntie rolled down the window to ask him if he wanted to go to Papa Gino's for lunch. (he didn't0 We shared one large pizza but while we were waiting, we played the "What's missing?" game which we played at China One once. We were laughing so much because you guys were so funny. When it was your turn to hide things, giving us clues like what it was that was missing, but you wouldn't give us a point until we actually said it out loud. Dylan had the best memory with the game. Out of six objects, he was able to identify the missing one within five to ten seconds.
We came hoe and had some juice, then took a nap. Auntie Suan left to visit her friends from work. When you get up you got to meet Daisy's mom! She arrived a the the same time to get Daisy. Uncle Joe go home early too so you got to play with him and then while we were waiting for your dad, I did a demonstration of making leaf decorations in wax paper with an iron. We made one for your momma, one for Nick, one for Daddy!
You both needed a tubby so after supper, where you each peeled your own carrot and dihad macaroni, followed by homemade ice cream sandwiches, you took a tubby with my help. Every time, I end up laughing hysterically because you are both so frigging funny! Noah had the worst gas and kept farting in the water. Daddy came up to see what was so funny and helped Noah rinse his hair. We both agreed that Noah looks like Leonardo DiCaprio! Uncle Joe made a fire, too. It was a very rainy afternoon but still warm out.
Oh, this morning, Noah show me how he slept with the place mat of pirate ships under his pillow! (Auntie Susan gave it to him)
Well, I'm anxious to find out what's going on with your mom. I did text her yesterday to tell her I hope she feels comfortable to talk to me.
