Hospital Waiting Room Farts

February 16, 2013

Dear boys,

I am no longer your Monday nanny!  I am a bit depressed about it since it happened because of a bit of a sudden move by your mom to switch her work schedule around.  She sent me a text message on Valentine's Day saying she was going to work Sundays instead of Mondays for March and she would let me know about April and she would only need me March 11.  I had to make the decision to cut the tie there because it would not be fair to me to hold up my schedule all those days.  I figure I can see you guys when I see your dad and we can do fun things together and maybe he'll have Uncle Joe and I babysit.  (if he gets a date or whatever)  We had fun babysitting one night when he went to the Seaview party.  I think I already wrote about that  This last Monday we had together we went to Anna Jacques Hospital with Uncle Joe.  We dropped him off at the surgery wing.  I sat in the waiting room for awhile.  I found the book Abiyoyo, an old story I used to read to my students and read it to you boys.  Unfortunately, I farted in mid-story (quietly but not unnoticed)  and I ended up in a giggle fit, when Noah announced, "Did you fart?!' Uncle Joe was disgusted which made me laugh even harder and Dylan was pissed because I kept laughing instead of reading the story.  Finally, I got control, read the story and you both wanted me to read it again even though Unce Joe got called in already.  So when I read it again, as I got to the same page when I farted before, Noah made a fart sound, trying to get me to start laughing again!  It was pretty funny.  After the story, we went to  the cafeteria and had lunch.  You both paid with quarters I gave you.  Then we hung out in the gift store and looked at the books. Dylan wanted to use his almost 25 stickers to get a Patriots Stuffed doll so I bought it after he earned the remaining stickers from being good in the hospital.  We sat at a table outside the blood lab and looked at books there, too.   Then we got to go inside the recovery room and see Uncle Joe in is johnny.  He was getting an injection in his back for his sciatica issues.  Dylan looked a little shocked to see Uncle Joe in a hospital bed but then he saw him walk right out while we waited in the car by the valet parking area.
