Monday, August 2, 2010 4PM "Scawey Guy and Dylan vs. Dylan

Dear Boys,
     Not your average day for you and you Dad.  He called me to tell about a very upsetting sight you were all unfortunate to see.  A man was hanging from a tree limb in the woods at Lake Winnekinni Park.  Your dad took you both for a walk early this morning when're he usually meets your mom on Mondays to switch custody before he goes to work.  He took you out on the trail by the lake and both of you were telling him "Scary guy!" but he couldn't see it yet.  Finally he looked and saw a guy standing there, jut not moving.  Then you dad go closer and saw what had happened.  He called 911 and they told him to get out of the woods with his kids fast.  So your dad picked you both up and ran as fast as he could to the parking lot where your mom was waiting and all kinds of emergency vehicles arrived.  He had to walk the police and paramedics down to the body to show them where it was.  Dylan was still traumatized this afternoon.  Hopefully, you will be unaffected by that since you didn't see up close, but having to run out of the woods like that with a scared/nervous father will probably not leave you unscathed.  I suggested he talks you back for a walk again as soon as possible to try to recreate positive images there in the woods.  I also told him to talk to his therapist because I think he would be the most affected, being so close and not exactly being in the best emotional state he's been in lately to begin with.  I was distraught just hearing about it and visualizing form your dad's description.  Kept thinking about it while swimming at th YWCA.
    Things are not looking good for your mom and dad after a bit of a roller coaster ride this past month.  They;ve been taking you places together even SToryland for a few days but then your mom drops your dad off and take you guys home and he is left feeling sad again.  This has been very very hard for him.  The good news it that he actually had a date!  He met a divorced woman and her little gl at Lake Gardner and asked her out after seeing her again there.  So far only one date, your dad didn't think there was a "love connection" on her part but he also met a friend of his friend Maria that he really liked.  He hasn't heard yet if she's interested though.  She wa at a birthday party for Mari'as kids that you were both at.  I was so happy when he had th first date.  Her name was Andra and her husband had cheated on her when her daughter Abby was only one year old. I was there when they met and so were you. We were playing in the water with the water shooters.  Abby walked over to e and gave me her pinwheel.  She was so sweet!  In my head, I had the marriage already arranged with pinwheels for centerpieces at the wedding  Daddy saw them again yesterday at the Yankee Homecoming Parade but no plans to get together.  I haven't given up on this yet though!!

     I saw all 3 of you yesterday at Auntie Susan's.  She had a party to introduce her daughter's new boyfriend to all her friends and family  she ran into you guys in the supermarket earlier. ( I was glad to find out your dad was buying groceries after I just gave him hell for taking you guys to too many fast food joints.  I was worried at first that you wouldn't come out of your shell because you were so clingy with your dad for the first half hour or so.  But you both did, no holds barred ( I think that's the expression.)  I had the two of you plus another boy named Dylan tackling me to the ground in the backyard.  It was so much fun!  However, at first when Dylan K met the other Dylan, it wasn't so pretty.  Dylan K knocked off theater boy's cowboy hat and he yelled at him.  I tried to get you to apologize but you just gave me an evil smirk and made some gurlgly sounds   The wrong Dylan apologized!  Rather than make a scene I finally gave in and let you go telling you to be nice.  Plus, I didn't want to take you dad's job away from him.  As it turned out, the other Dylan was just as "naughty" grabby giant sticks and throwing rocks.  His mom had to be on him the whole time.  He was just a couple months older than you both.  One lady brough bubbles so we had fun with that , too.
