August 5, 2010 Throwing Rocks at Mosely Woods

Yesterday we met you bot with your dad at Mosley Woods.  I'm in charge of organizing the summer concert series.  So while the music was playing we played in the playground and then Dylan and I went for a walk.  Although Dylan ran ahead of me through the crowd...straight to the river which at that part of the park is a cliff!  I grabbed his hand just before he started to climb a giant boulder overlooking the river.  We climbed together and looked at the water.  Dylan was able to say "water" "boats and from there we walked down the path towards the little swimming hold I go to with the dogs and we threw rocks in the water.  I farted once and Dylan said, "What was that?" looking at me confused.  That was the first more than two word question I've ever heard him ask!  Then Uncle Joe and Noah showed up and we had a rock throwing contest.  Noah was very verbal all evening, talking up a blue streak about throwing rocks, throwing baseballs, half, or most of which I did not understand.  We got popsicles at the ice-cream truck afterwards and sat on the railroad ties.  Noah and I chatted happily but Dylan had a look in his eye like he wanted to run to the river again.  The ice cream truck man got a kick out of us talking since he has four nephews the same age.
