Dear Birthday boys,
Having a bit of insomnia so I thought I'd catch up and write about your fun day yesterday and the day before too! I have to go back to work tomorrow and I always get a little anxious about it but I am looking forward to seeing everyone.
Your birthday party was great fun yesterday! Your dad rented a bouncy house (dragon) and all the kids and several adults enjoyed that! It was a very hot day though so must people just sat around quietly Your Granpa K and Grandma were there, Uncle Don and Auntie Kim, Sean and Missy, Kim S and Jack, maria and her husband, Dave(Papa) and Deb and Tyler, me and Uncle Joe, Donny M (your dad's friend.)
Uncle Joe and I got there early to help out because your ad was worried about Dylan being sick. He threw up a couple of times. I read a story with the Leap Frog device..I never did that before.
Sept. 4
I could hardly think the other night when I was trying to write! Since then, you guys came over last night and we had so much fun! Uncle Joe set up the train table in the living room. We had supper together, spaghetti for the adults, mac n cheese for you both with corn on the cob ad some left over meat from Uncle Joe's work party. While I made dinner, Uncle Joe played with you both upstairs and your dad told me all about your mom's new place in Bradford. He said you have a basement with a pool table and it was really cool! He was sad thought because it reminded hi of the house where we grew up. And ow your mom is living there without hi. I told him that at least you boys weren't going to be living in squalor somewhere (he was looking for sympathy and I wasn't giving too much! ( reminded him of the commandment "Thy shall not covet thy neighbor's goods." He said "What about your soon to be ex wife's goods?" I told him that he ca have bigger and better ta whatever your mother has. Anyway, after the failed attempt at the pity party we had a great time! Noah helps me water my plants and then we danced with the James Brown doll. Dylan gets SO excited! It is really hilarious. Then we did the Funky Bluesy ABC song and Dylan was so excited he ran downstairs to get Uncle joe to come listen! (He was cleaning the kitchen-what a good man dos when the wife makes dinner.) Both of you were trying to sing the alphabet with the music. It wa so much fun. Then I read a story to you both, "Too Much Noise" which I read last time you were here. Dylan remembered and yelled, "Too noisy!" when he saw the book. Noah was making all the animal sounds except he couldn't do the chicken. I also noticed when we were spelling our names on the chalkboard he couldn't pronounce the "l" in Dylan.
We ad fun boxing with the puppets, too. the we watched the movies on the computer reform the birth party and form the ABC song. Noah got all weirded out when he saw the glowing eyes in many shots of him and Ruby, too. he looked like a Demon boy. I explained about the lights in the camera and he seemed reasonably satisfied with that, and accepted that he had not been possessed.
Last week, at he birthday party I made you both take a nap before the party while your dad was shopping. You both screamed bloody murder for about one minute and then you were out. I sent a text message to Uncle Joe to deliver the newspaper so I could read it in there.(your bedroom) Your dad had come home and they were busy setting up for the party.
