April Fools

April 1, 2009

No April Fools’ jokes this year, although I tried a last minute one on your mom.  I called her today to report on my night babysitting last night and said, “I didn’t know Noah was saying whole sentences yet!”  She went silent but then said, “Oh, really, what did he say?’ I said, “April Fools!”  She said the builder got her good because he gave her an estimate on the doorway of 40,000, way more than she was expecting.  My builder didn’t even try.  He came over to measure windows.
It’s very late but I just wanted to tell you about last night.  You were both very good very easy to put to sleep (the best part of babysitting, ha ha!)  Dylan went in first with his blanky, not a peep!  And Noah about ten minutes after that, after about two minutes of snuggling with his blanky in the rocking chair in the dark.  I had to take him away from Grandpa.  Both of you boys were all over him when he came home from work around 7.  Very cute to see.  Before that, you both were watching Nick play basketball in driveway and Noah was mesmerized.  He is still only saying “ball.”  He tried to help tell me that Freddy bit him but mom was telling me the story with “dog” and pointing to hand.  Freddy moved out Friday to Rowley.  I wrote down the name of the guy in case we want to visit!
Dylan was trying to talk to a puzzle piece like it was a telephone receiver!  You two are so dam cute!  You both ate your supper but Noah threw a fork at me.
