Domestic Disturbance

Dear boys,

     Still haven't seen or heard from you or your dad.  It's been upsetting to me but I trust that whatever is going on will be "water under the bridge" as our ancestral foremother liked to call it!  (Robin, especially-your 2nd cousin-old joke with your dad) Unfortunately, it will probably take me calling or texting your dad to see what's up.  On a selfish level, I am most disheartened that he has not had it in his heart to call me in two months.  Maybe he is mad at me because I didn't invite him over for Christmas, or call him, but why is it up to me to call and plan for everything?  We already had a big talk about that very topic.  He needs to take more responsibility to initiate in keeping family together. Relationships are a two way street, even with family-never take ANYONE for granted, especially your family.  If your dad was not my brother, our relationship would have ended many years ago because he is so bad at making any kind of effort to nurture it.  I love him to pieces, just as I love you both, but I am not enjoying trying so hard to keep the connection going!
     But I did want to write to keep you guys updated on what I have come to figure out thanks to social media.  I am concluding from your mom's Facebook posts that Adam has moved out and that they will likely divorce.  I check occasionally to see if there are pictures of you, especially lately since I don't get to see you in person.  :-(  But I ALSO found out Adam was arrested for assault and battery at your house on Dec 5, 2015 at 2:30am.  I believe that was the same night your mom called your dad crying, left a message asking him to coach the basketball game.  We assumed there had been a car accident or D.U.I since she posted she had been at Wally's Pub shooting darts that night.  The marriage lasted a hell of a lot longer than I predicted.  Hopefully, she will find someone better.  I wonder if your dad was hoping they might get together again?  I think unlikely but I guess possible??
