Dear Noah and Dylan,
I thought of you both today when a lady was here with her little girl who goes to your school, the Pollard. I asked her if she knew your mom because she helps out in Noah's classroom. She thought she knew who she was. Also, last night we had friends come over and they tried the roasted grasshoppers that you both ate when I came back from Mexico. I dared you to eat them in Friendly's and you both did. I had bribes to help tempt you, candy and Mexican money. A couple weeks later, when you came over here, Noah assayed right away where the grasshoppers where you both ate them again! Your dad couldn't believe you did it the first time. He would not try them. Bak! Bak! Bak! (chicken sound)
We didn't see much of you this winter. It was the most brutal one of all time! I suspect they are not going to get any less crazy given these weather extremes and the arctic air constantly dropping this far south in New England. People still poo-poo global warming-oh, its a conspiracy! But it is surely happening. The Gulf Stream is warmed more than the norm and it causes more moisture in atmosphere which when chilled becomes snow, and lots of it! We had over 110 inches of snow. It was so high the dogs could step over our four foot fence! Unfortunately, it was so brutally cold and windy when it wasn't snowing that it was hard to get out to enjoy it, and no where to park!
One day last month you, me and your dad went to the movies at the Parker River Wildlife Refuge. We saw a cartoon about wild horses. I loved it! Quite exciting and moving for a cartoon. Your dad packed up sunflower seeds, cookies, plus we had popcorn they gave out at the place. We were the only ones in the theater at first but slowly about 25 people came in. At the end of the movie we made shadow puppets in the projector light. It was so funny! We walked around in the exhibit and took turns looking at the birds , at the feeders on their telescopes. Noah mostly hogged it but finally Dylan got a chance. We went into their little library ad your dad read Dylan a story.
This year we got to have Easter dinner together. Your Uncle Don and Auntie Kim planned a brunch at Ron's Landing on Hampton Beach. Ryan was there too, plus Grandma Chris and Aunt Kim's mom and dad. You guys got lots of little presents from everyone, except from us (We'll get you new bums since you have cracks in them. ) I made your dinner here that might, the usual salmon, broccoli and fettuccini or something..oh-no, I made French Fries! Grandma Kudym's recipe and my first time making them!
I asked your dad if I can have you for a day during your school vacation so we can do something fun tougher. :-) He said Weds should work, Maybe we can go to the Wildlife Refuge and walk on the boardwalks then go to Sandy Point again?
