March 9, 2010: Bike Rides and TV with Gamma, Gamma and Uby

Buenas tardes, mis sobrinos!
It's about 7:30 on a Tuesday night and I am cooking kale while having a beer by my lonesome (not really-Ruby, Jack and Cuddles are here but Uncel Joe is in Washington, D.C.)
So tonight your mom is apparently having a conversation with your dad about the state of their relationship, initiated by her.  Your dad has no idea what exactly is her plan but he is guessing she does not want a second honeymoon.  Based on recent information, it sounds like she is still involved with the contractor, Dan and that he even told his wife what was going on.  I just want your dad to finally be able to move on and be happy and to be able to enjoy the two of you without so much stress in their marriage.  They have now been living apart over four months and you two have adjusted seemingly well to moving back and forth from each house.  You are both VERY attached to your dad and Dylan you have him WRAPPED!  "Oh, Daddy!  Daddy, go?! Daddy, go??!!" Uncle Joe and I have wanted to throttle you on occasion!
I had such a wonderful time visiting on Saturday with Uncle Joe, Grandpa k and Grandma Chris were there, too!  IT was the first nice, sunny day in a l-o-n-g time and we were all in the street riding bikes with the neighbor boys from the bottom of the street.  I was trying to talk to Grandp K about my trip to Spain and you both kept yelling at me to watch, "Auntie Kim, watch!" while your Daddy pushed you in your cars.  The two of you were glowing with happiness to be with us all.  You both have the most beautiful smiles!
When it got too cool we all went inside and I mad asparagus and broccoli to go with the meatballs, chicken wings and potato salad.   I picked up at the Newbury Butchery (not a salmon Saturday unfortunately as your mother used to call it. )  No time to cook these days!
It was fun to see you wrestling with Grandma.  You both call Grandma dn Grandp " Gamma" after we the, I put on Curious George and Noah sat weigh me on the bean bag chair and Dylan sat with Uncle Joe on the couch.  I was in heaven.  Ruby was there too and Noah wanted "Uby" to watch the show, too!  Then we watched Tom and Jerry for the first time.  You were both cracking up!  Since there is no voice on the show, I narrated what was going on.  Noah likes to repeat the basic subject and verb descriptions of everything I say.  I can't believe how much oy you both add to my life!!  Even changing Noahs' very stinky NASTY diaper is an honor for me.  I love being such an important part of your lives!!
Love always,
Auntie Kim
PS Sunday I met you at the beach with "Nicky."  That was fun, too!
