Dear little Dylan and Noah,
I actually had a dream about Dylan last night! I was looking at you with your mom and you had long hair in our eyes and she was pushing it aside. Maybe I was incorporating Bob Dylan, the musician into the dream?! That's all I remember.
I'm going into Boston to see you guys today with Uncle Joe. I've been 3x already. Today will be the fourth. It's fun seeing you both and we have fun afterwards going out to eat in Boston which is a treat. We went to Legal Seafoods with the whole gang on visit 2 and on visit 3 just Uncle Joe and I went ot the Malaysian restaurant which was GREAT! And not as expensive as Legal Seafood. Your poor Grandpa K almost pooped his pants when he saw the menu so I told him not to worry, that me and Uncle Don would pay (unless he ordered steak or then HE was paying! ha ! ha!)
We also shopped in Chinatown and I bought some yummy sesame candy wafers. They taste like peanut brittle, a favorite food of your Grandma's. Speaking of Grandma, I still miss her SO MUCH and my eyes are watering as I write this. I woke up thinking this morning about the afterlife and can't help but wonder if her soul has found its way in to one of you. My guess would be that if so, she's inhabited Noah! So far, Noah has the bigger mouth, crying like a crazy fool when the nurse was trying to put ink on his hands and feet to get prints. (we have that on video for those special times you want to show your friends or roast one another at a wedding or another event, birthday, etc. ha ha!) Dylan was very quiet when it was his turn but got annoyed towards the end. Neither of you could cry with tubes down your throat but now you're free to voice your opinions which I HOPE never stops, if you're anything like your grandmother or your FAVORITE Aunt Kim. (all of your Aunt Kims have no problem voicing their opinion by the way.)
Your dad called me the other night MOST excited that Noah smiled at him! Of course, everyone has been saying that it was just gas- well, OF COURSE! You are a K! :-)
I hope I get to hold each of you today. it may be day 2 you're off the respirators and after 3 days, you get moved to Lawrence General so we'lll see! In the meantime, the Floating Hospital (NE Medical) is becoming quite the soap opera. Dad told me that one of the nurses in the neonatal ICU is the sister or some relative to your aunt's boyfriend in Quincy. (can't remember her name) She was on vacation for a couple of weeks and showed up to work the other day and met your mom for the first time. She didn't know that your mom and your aunt have not been speaking for a couple of years. The nurse told her that she was hoping she'sd be in the hospital giving birth to her baby that is due any day. So maybe they'd be in the hospital at the same time as your mom. Mom didn't say anything until the next day when the nurse came in with the news that she was just talking to___ ? (your aunt) and telling her all about the babies. Mom let her have it apparently- told her not to talk to anyone outside of the hospital about her babies (privacy violation) and that the two sisters were not speaking. A bunch of other nurses were listening and getting a kick out of the whole thing.
I must get going and get Ruby and Jack out for a walk before we head in to see you little cherubs!
Love always,
Auntie Kim
