Patriots' Day 2012

April 16, 2012 Patriots' Day

Dear Noah and Dylan,

     The start of a new journal, my five year long letter to you continues!  The precious journal was in a green spiral bound notebook with the back cover missing.  Originally, I bought this one for Daisy, but now she's only coming once a week, may even stop coming all together since her owner has a new car payment and just got a new horse after her last horse had to be put down (broken leg.)   I wrote on Daisy's behalf to her mom in a little 99cent notebook every day I took care of her.
     I started a traveling journal to keep in your backpack so both your mom and dad can read about your visits here with Auntie Kim and Uncle Joe.
     Yesterday, we had a great day.  Your dad had a date with a woman named Renee so we took you to Plum Island with Ruby.  We showed Uncle Joe the dune you climbed up on last time and walked along the shore between the Hotel Blue Ocean and the first jetty.  Tons of people were there, some even in the water since it was 80 degrees! Today it is supposed to be 85 at least!    It has been a crazy, warm fall, winter and now spring.
     Dylan LOVED climbing on the rock ons on the jetty but Uncle Joe and I were getting nervous he was going to fall.  He was pretty careful but it is too easy to slip and fall for a small boy.  Noah was not as interested.
     Afterwards, after we went in the water up to our ankles and screamed at how cold it was and consoled Dylan who went from climbing macho man to crybaby salt-stinging my legs woos, we went to get ice cream at Bob's Lobster on Plum Island Turnpike.  WE sat outside on a picnic table with Rub while waiting for Uncle Joe to bring us each our M and M ice cream in cups.  Mmm...mmm!  We went home and watched Shaun the Sheep, had supper, then watched part of the Incredibles until your dad got back.  Oh, and also gave you a tubby.  That is so much fun to watch you both get silly with the bubbles and the giant yellow spongebob that you make "pee" on each other's heads!
     You also got stickers for dressing yourselves.  You got stickers for eating your supper, too, so today you should be able to get the prizes since you are only one or two stickers away from the thirty needed on the little charts!!!!
