Dear kids,
You are here sleeping with your dad downstairs ad we are getting you up soon to go on a boat ride for a Fathers' Day nature cruise. The lady from Joppa Flats is running it (Lisa) After that we will go back to Auntie Kim's for a lunch with Grandpa K and Grandma Chris. I want to take a group photo today of the three generations! Your mom is on a motorcycle adventure this weekend in Laconia with Adam so you've been with Daddy since Wednesday! Thursday I had Auntie Susan come visit so we could take you to the beach. We went to Sandy Point. We used to go there by boat from the Rowley River when we were kids, and this was your dad's first trip by car!
Anyway, we then walked out to the huge sandbar, took pictures of ourselves on a giant piece of driftwood and went back to our blanket.. Next thing I knew, your daddy was yelling at Noah for kicking sand in his eyes and drama ensued as your dad crawled across the sand to a tide pool to rinse off his face. I put Noah in timeout on the blanket. He was upset by THAT, not by Daddy being in agony. Empathy is not Noah's strong suit we are finding out. Dylan is almost opposite...very concerned about other's well being..the poor chipmunk Ruby killed who might have left babies behind, the mother who died in the movie we watched last night "Velveteen Rabbit." Dylan also very curious about others in general..nosey like his aunt. Staring at people at the Flag Football game, he walked right over to a player that was sitting down playing with his younger cousin and just watched him for about ten minutes. Turns out it was one of my former students! Noah was quite interested in the game itself and the boy gave him a flyer. They are old enough to play next year in the fall and it is ok if from Haverhill. We were at Moseley last night for a potluck supper for our friends Mary and Jim that are moving to Vermont. Your daddy sounded interested in checking out their house which is for sale but I don't know how he could buy another house and not sell his house in Haverhill.
Well, I hope we have a great day today!
Love, Auntie Kim
