Spring is here! You've been baptized and now you are to experience your first Spring! Tomorrow you are coming over our house for the very first time. Your mom will be working but your dad will bring you both over and you'll meet Ruby and Jack finally! Holly will be here hopefully with Uncle Don and Kim, Grandpa K and Grandma Chris. I already prepared scalloped potatoes with a Martha Stewart recipe Laurie M told me about over the phone. Tomorrow I'll bake my first Easter ham (first ham ever actually) and roast asparagus, bake some Pillsbury French bread, peas and onion and for dessert: carrot cake that says "Happy Birthday Don and Chris" AND a Carvel ice cream bunny rabbit cake. Too bad you guys aren't old enough to eat it yet! You are just working on strained squash and apple sauce mixed in with your Gerber cereal.
Today you were both a little crabby. I guess you haven't been sleeping as well since you started on solid foods. But Dylan was VERY happy bouncing around in his chair swing that hangs from the door-big difference in one week- much more movement, flailing whole body and bouncing with legs! Noah liked me kissing his cheeks repeatedly and was aughing a lot (when he wasn't crying) He is still high maintenance- although at the baptism it was just the opposite! Dylan got a case of social phobia and screamed the whole time. Noah was in his element and good as gold. (just like his grandmother K- happy when everyone is looking at him!)
The next day, Dad called me at work and said Dylan rolled over for the first time! So he wanted me to make sure I wrote that down. Two weeks later, he's still rolling over, but then he cries when he gets there. Noah is a little limited still with that helmet on.
The baptism went well except daylight savings time threw a monkey wrench in for Grandpa K and Grandma Chris was sick. Uncle Bill got lost and Grandma Matilda was not invited nor was Uncle Robert since he has not even bothered to meet either of you yet. Positive family relationships is not a strong suit for your maternal side, but your Aunt Kim L is your godmother (Dylan) and your uncle that still lives with Grandma Matilda spends time with you when ever he can (Robert lives there now, too-I just forgot the other guys' name.)
